Autumn Color Overtakes Trapper’s Devastation

New growth envelopes the dead trees standing on the mountainside along Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park. The Trapper Fire of 2003 wiped out all plant life surrounding “The Loop” along the famous road to Logan Pass. It’s autumn now, which gives more contrast to the juxtaposition of life and death.
